Everybody needs to know what to do if they are concerned about a child’s wellbeing or safety. But if you’re responsible for writing policies, running activities for children or training members of staff, then you may need to know more.

In 2008, the Government announced a new strategy to promote the safety, health and progress of children and young people (New blueprint for world class children and young people's workforce). Part of this strategy was a proposal to improve training.
