Afternoon session - Children England and the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS) will deliver this regional briefing on 11 February 2010 which will focus on how the voluntary and community sector will be affected by the scheme.
When is it? : 11/02/2010 
Where is it? : Newbury, West Berkshire                                                              Time: 13.30pm - 16.30pm

The event will give participants the opportunity to:

  • Receive a detailed presentation on the Vetting and Barring Scheme from a speaker from the Home Office.
  • Ask detailed questions on the scheme.
  • Hear from the Safe Network/third sector’s perspective on the impact of the scheme.
  • Consider the impact of the scheme on their organisation and spend time discussing it with other participants.
  • Find out about support available to the voluntary and community sector in relation to safeguarding from the Safe Network, Children England, NCVYS and others.
  • Meet and network with colleagues from across the region.
