If you missed the episode, entitled 'Are you a danger to kids?' aired on 08 February 2010 at 8.30pm (GMT) on BBC1, you have another chance to catch it on BBC iPlayer.

The programme explored how the Vetting and Barring Scheme, which launched in October 2009, will affect those who wish to work or volunteer with children.

The programme asked such questions as:

  • Will the system work?
  • Who will make the decision to bar people?
  • Will it deter people from volunteering?
  • Will it deter unsuitable people from attempting to volunteer?
