Mencap has produced a new children and young people's charter poster with key messages of how they want professionals to help keep children safe from harm.

According to research carried out by Mencap children with a learning disability are twice as likely to be bullied as other children, and three times more likely to be abused.

The 'We want to be safe' poster has been created to co-incide with both Anti-Bullying Week on 16 November 2009 and the 20th Anniversary of The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

To order a hard copy of the poster for your organisation to use please contact Sarah.Mepham@mencap.org.uk.
