This conference on 29 June 2010 aims to improve multi-agency working and re-motivate the safeguarding workforce.
When is it? : 29/06/2010 
Where is it? : The Ibis, Earls Court, London

Identify risk early on and keep children safe will explore and tackle key safeguarding issues including:

  • Defining thresholds.
  • Promoting information sharing accross agencies.
  • Early intervention and prevention.
  • The challenges of Serious Case Reviews.
  • Promoting safer recruitment.
  • Exploring the key learnings from Ofsted inspections.

Boy smilingDelegates will also have the opportunity to take part in peer-to-peer discussions and attend workshops on subjects such as; domestic violence, e-safety, substance and alcohol missuse, children in care and sexual abuse.

The conference will be chaired by Wes Cuell of  the NSPCC, and speakers will include representatives from the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA), Barnados, and Ofsted.
