The Home Office is seeking to clarify some of the most common myths and misconceptions relating to the Vetting and Barring Scheme.

Some of the most common myths relating to the scheme are that parents need to be registered to supervise on school day trips, attend school performances and babysit their friend's children.

None of the above activities require registration with the ISA, either because they are private arrangements between parents or are not classed as 'frequent' of 'intensive' contact with children.
