The UN's International Telecommunications Union has published a series of guidelines designed to help protect children online. Seperate guidance is available for children, parents and guardians, educators, industry and policy makers.
The guidelines were drawn up jointly by welfare groups, regulators, law enforcement officials and the industry. They will be updated every year.
