This training is aimed specifically at voluntary, community and social enterprise groups currently managing a centre with, or looking to develop services for, children, young people and families.
Please note: Local Authorities and private organisations are welcome to contact Community Matters to discuss booking a chargeable place at the training.
During the two day training course key topics that will be covered are legalities, practicalities and sustainability of running a community building and provide a step-by-step guide for you to use with your own organisation.
Learning outcomes from the training:
- Be more knowledgeable about the diversity of legal and technical aspects of managing community buildings and other community assets
- Have an understanding of the issues involved in consulting young people, engaging them in governance and developing services alongside children, young people and families
- Be able to maximise use of assets and identify the key resources required for sustainable operation
- Be confident in involving children, young people and families in your organisation
