The application is especially aimed at children and young people and provides access to the latest help on online safety and an alert button for reporting suspected grooming or inappropriate sexual behaviour.
By adding the new application children and young people can get direct access to CEOP’s advice and reporting centre 'ClickCEOP' from their homepage.This will give them the very latest help on online safety as well as a dedicated facility for reporting instances of suspected grooming or inappropriate sexual behaviour.
Users can now add or bookmark the 'ClickCEOP' application. It will then appear on their homepage to be accessed if help or reassurance is ever needed. This is visible to other users visiting their page also.
Jim Gamble, CEOP's chief executive, said in a statement: "Our dialogue with Facebook about adopting the ClickCeop button is well documented - today however is a good day for child protection.
