Child psychologist and TV personality Emma Kenny will be a main keynote speaker at the Safe Network's 'Active Communities, Safer Children' conference on 17 February 2011.

In an inspiring morning session, Emma Kenny will be speaking about the importance of childhood, resilience and the way that the media influences that the way children 'grow' in our society. Her session will explore current themes such as

  • cyber kids
  • current problematic trends
  • the importance of educated risk taking
Introducing

Emma is a qualified and hugely experienced practitioner, with psychological and counselling qualifications recognised by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the British Psychological Society.
She has spent 15 years specialising in work with separated and socially removed young people. A large proportion of this work has been within some of Britians toughest areas.

Emma's television work, which includes researching, presenting and documentaries, is highly respected and well recognised. She is particularly well known for her work on the following shows
