  1. Your access to and use of this site is subject to the following notices, terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”).  Your use of this website constitutes deemed acceptance and full awareness of each of these Terms and Conditions, as from the date of your first use of the site.    If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in their entirety, your use of or link to this site must be terminated immediately.
  2. This website is provided by the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).  It contains information provided by the NSPCC, third party organizations, and (on the forum) registered users.  The address of the NSPCC is Weston House, 42 Curtain Road, London EC2A 3NH. Registered Charity Number 216401.
  3. The intention of this website is to provide child safeguarding information for professionals and other interested and responsible persons for the purposes of promoting the Safe Network and our services in England.  These Terms and Conditions shall be construed so as to give effect to this intention.  You warrant and undertake to use (or link to) this website always (a) for lawful and relevant purposes, (b) in accordance with the aforementioned intention, and (c) in a manner which does not infringe the rights of, or restrict, or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this website by any person. Such restriction and inhibition includes, without limitation, conduct which is unlawful or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person and the transmission of obscene or offensive material or disruption of normal flow of dialogue within this site.  You hereby indemnify NSPCC against any loss (including legal costs) or damage recoverable at law in respect of your breach of these Terms and Condiitions.
  4. The NSPCC may modify theses Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online. The modified Terms and Conditions shall take effect when posted and shall bind you with immediate effect.
  5. Copyright in the content this website shall, other in respect of infromation provided by third party organizations, vest in the NSPCC.  All rights reserved.   No part of this website, including information, images, photos, logos, names and icons may be copied, republished, posted, broadcast or reproduced in any form whatsoever without the prior written permission of the respective copyright holders, and no licence is hereby given.  Subject to the aforegoing, information on the site may be downloaded for personal and non-commercial use.
  6. The names, images and logos identifying the NSPCC third party organizations and their products and services are the proprietary marks of the NSPCC and/or third parties as appropriate. Nothing contained therein shall be construed as conferring by implication, estoppel or otherwise any licence or right under any trademark or patent of the NSPCC or any third party organization.
  7. The photographs of children used within this site to illustrate the work of the NSPCC and other organizations are posed by models and do not depict actual situations.
  8. Any person wishing to set up a link to this website shall be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. Notwithstanding the aforementioned, the existence of a link from any person site to this website does not imply that the NSPCC endorses the activities or views of that person.
  9. The NSPCC excludes liability in respect of this website to the fullest extent permitted by law.  This website provides general guidance and particular advice will always be required for particular situations.  You should not rely on this website to the detriment of any person without seeking further professional advice.   The NSPCC does not accept liability for any loss or damages, including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, or loss of profits, or any damages whatsover arising out of or in connection with the use or loss of use of this site.
  10. Without limitation to clause 9, the NSPCC cannot be held responsible for information provided by regisiered user and third party organizations.  However, the NSPCC shall make every reasonable effort to moderate the forum and review information provided by third party organizations.  The NSPCC shall also make every reasonable effort to remove any information or item which has been posted on this website in breach of these Terms and Conditions or any other legal obligation. 
  11. If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these Terms and Conditions are intended to be effective, then to the extent to and within the jurisdiction in which that Term and Condition is illegal, invalid and unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from this clause and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive, remain in full force and continue to be binding and enforceable.
  12. Any registered user may have their registration withdrawn at any time.  Acceptance and withdrawal of registrations may be made at anytime and at the absolute discretion of the NSPCC with no reason given. 
  13. Personal data provided by registered users on registration shall be retained by the NSPCC (and where appropriate provided to the police or any other appropriate person or agency) for the duration of the registration.  The Privacy Policy shall apply.  Identifying information and personal data in respect of  former registered users may also be retained by the NSPCC (and where appropriate provided to the police or any other appropriate person or agency) in the event that the registered user was prima facie in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  14. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising here from shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
